AI² proof-of-understanding rubric
This page explains what AI² checks when a student submits proof in this demo. It is not an official grade, school transcript, or diagnostic result. It is a parent-friendly way to understand how explanation quality is judged locally in this browser.
What AI² checks
Answer clarity
The student gives a clear answer or main point that matches the lesson task.
Evidence or reasoning
The student gives a reason, detail, example, or piece of evidence that supports the answer.
Own words
The student explains the idea in their own language instead of only repeating a prompt.
Step-by-step explanation
The student shows the thinking process, steps, or order used to reach the answer.
Confidence / completeness
The response feels reasonably complete for the lesson and shows the student tried to explain fully.
How to explain well
- Answer the lesson question clearly first.
- Give one reason, detail, example, or piece of evidence.
- Use your own words instead of copying the prompt.
- Explain the steps or thinking in order.
- Try to finish the explanation with confidence, even if it is not perfect.
Parent reminder
The goal is understanding, not perfect wording. Ask the student to explain, then use the rubric to talk about what could be clearer next time.
